Pokedex Plus first became available on 23 May 2015. It is estimated that Pokedex Plus has been downloaded between 500000 and 1000000 times from the Play Store.

Pokedex Plus 2.0.1 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
